Modernes Sprechen spreads its electroacoustic landscapes under a raking light, raw and warm, dissects the shadows and distends the reliefs, in the way of an old pop song worn to the point that its tape cracks, frays in textures to unfold a lyricism without artifice. In an approach that is both sensitive and intuitive, the Swiss trio consisting of Flo Stoffner (guitar), Christoph Erb (saxophone) and Antoine Läng (vocals) plays on dynamics to expose its organic sounds and acoustic and timbral richness.
